Music biggies on star plus's reality show

Friends here is an article giving news of a new reality show. Aneek is participating along with other contestants from various reality shows. article from telly chakkar: By NehaMaheshwri 16 Nov 2009 - 19:55 After Zee TV’s Mega Challenge it’s now the turn of Star Plus. The channel is all set to make a music based reality show with celebrated singers from musicbased reality shows across channels. The show is produced by Gajendrra Siingh’s Saibaba Telefilms and is tipped to launch in December. This is going tobe a big ticket show and according to sources, Star Plus is pinning its hope on it to generate the much needed TRPs during the weekends. According to the source, the show boasts of some famous music directors like Himesh Reshammiya, Shankar Mahadevan, Mika and Mohit Chauhan. The show which was earlier titledas MPL (Music Premiere League) will go in for a title change as Sony is currently airing a dance based show titled DPL (Dance Premiere League).Says our source, “Singers like Rahul Vaidya, Vineet Singh, Debojeet Saha, Harshit Saxena, Raja Hassan, Aneek Dhar, Himani and a few singers from ChhoteUstaadare tipped to be participating in the show. There will be six teams and each team will have one mentor. The mentors as of now who are almost finalisedare Himesh Reshammiya, Shankar Mahadevan, Mohit Chauhan, Shreya Ghoshal, Shaan and Mika. There will be no individual eliminations but teams will be evicted.The show is tipped to hit the tube in the second week of December.”Talking about the host, our source says, “Bollywood celebrities were approached to host the show and Riteish Deshmukh too was on the list. He was almostfinalised but had to back out at the last moment citing date issues. Now they are in talks with Ayushmann Khurrana.”We sent a text message to producer Gajendrra Siingh but he didn’t reply.

Friends, it has been a year since our prodigy Aneek released his first solo album Kwaishein. So, happy one year anniversury to Kwaishein! :) This album was one of the most important milestones in his career, right after winning the SaReGaMaPa world championship. Kwaishein won album of the year at the 2009 Kalakar Awards as well as ranking in the top 10 best selling non filmy albums in India according to the weekly album rating system... As we reflect on all Aneek has accomplished we wish him the best for his future and we know we'll have lots more anniversuries to celebrate ... Our Champ has a bright future ahead of him.

A Review of Aneek's Performance At Rhapsody 2009

I was just talking to another dedicated fan of Aneek’s and she told me she attended his most recent show (Rhapsody 2009) and I started asking her about her experience there. I thought other fans might want to know how the show went so I asked her if I could post a review of his show here. So my thanks go out to Tanima Bhattacharya because without her this review wouldn’t be possible.
She said Aneek “simply rocked.” He delivered many upbeat rocking numbers with what has now become Aneek’s signature style of uniqueness, confidence, poise and expert delivery. Then he sang a romantic number from the film Janaat (click below for video.)

Aneek also sang his new Bengali song from an upcoming Bengali album, which is supposed to be releasing this Puja. Aneek announced that some prominent Bollywood singers have also contributed to the album. Overall the show was very enjoyable and the crowd was a lively one! I want to thank Tanima once again for all the information she has shared with us.

Kwaishein Bags Album Of The Year Award At The Kalakar Awards 2009!
